Note from Sean:
After the best years of my life with ‘Same Difference’ came to a sentimental end in the winter of 2014 I was determined to continue making records. To my mind I’d dipped my toe into the music business and knew that the water was alluring, refreshing and inviting. I was ready to submerge myself and float satisfied as I looked up at the stars. It had after all been my dream since I was a young boy who saved his pocket money to buy the latest chart topping hits. All of a sudden the water was closed off. I wasn’t ready to let it go but I knew in my heart that the best moments had run their course and my sister and bandmate was ready to move on to the next chapter in her life. But what was my next chapter? Truth is I just wanted more of same, keep trying and we’ll get that elusive smash hit and all involved will be glad they’d bet on us. Not to be. So what now?? I need to find myself again, who am I outside of ‘Same Difference’? Too proud to shop my credentials I made a mental goal to be signed again and asked for guidance to see to it’s fulfilment. One fateful night I received a tweet that would answer my prayers. Then began SeanSmithSolo! Thank you all for arriving at this page. I’d like to invite you to come on this journey of discovery with me. Enjoy the ride!
